Hi everyone! My name is Courtney Anderson and I am currently a second grade teacher. I have taught second grade for the past three years and high school learning support for an additional three years. When I am not teaching, I enjoy making crafts, reading, spending time with my family and watching dirt track racing. I only have two courses left to finish my masters. When this course is completed, I will be officially done with my studies. Grade Level/Discipline: Second Grade - All core content areas.
Few Facts about myself:
Fact 1: I taught high school learning support grades 9-12 before switching to my current placement as a second grade teacher.
Fact 2: I have two wonderful children. A son named Dakota who is 4 years old and a daughter named Sienna who is 2 years old.
Fact 3: I have two Jack Russell dogs at my house.
Fact 4: Over the summer, my husband and I took our kids to Florida to see Mickey Mouse.
What I'd like to learn or get out of this course:
I would like to learn how to incorporate net-generation tools into my everyday curriculum, in order to, keep my students actively participating and motivated in my learning environment. Also, I would like to be able to eventually teach an online graduate course and I feel that this course will allow me to understand how to bridge the gap between the generations of learners that may be taking one of my online courses.
